Legacy Oaks of Sacramento Assisted Living and Memory Care

We are seeking a reliable and courteous driver to support the transportation needs of residents in a residential care setting. This role plays an important part in helping residents attend appointments, run essential errands, and participate in community activities safely and comfortably. The ideal candidate is attentive, patient, and committed to providing excellent service with a strong focus on safety and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation for residents to medical appointments, outings, errands, and other scheduled destinations.
• Assist residents as needed when entering and exiting the vehicle, always following appropriate safety practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-functioning vehicle interior and exterior.
• Complete routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow planned routes, schedules, and facility transportation procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, and team members.
• Support a positive, respectful, and comfortable transportation experience for all passengers.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a passenger vehicle or facility transportation van.
• Strong punctuality, dependability, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility support as appropriate and within job guidelines.
• Basic understanding of vehicle safety, inspection, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to follow directions, schedules, and transportation policies.
• Experience working with older adults or in a care environment is preferred.
